Dit is de tweede pagina voor mijn Taking Flight boekje. De achtergrond is gemaakt met Lyra Aquacolor krijt en gesso. De tekst is een citaat uit het boek.
This is the second page of my Taking Flight booklet. Made the background with Lyra Aquacolor crayons and gesso. The text is a quotation from the book.

De eerste pagina voor mijn Taking Flight boekje gemaakt. Steeds mezelf zitten vertellen dat het allemaal niet zo netjes hoeft en dat ik vooral mijn hoofd moet uitschakelen. Gewoon lekker doen. Was wel wennen.... en dit is het geworden. Gestempeld met StazOn Jet Black, daarna geverfd en gestempeld met Adirondack dabbers (lemonade, butterscotch en terra cotta) en met gesso.

Made the first page for my Taking Flight booklet. It's so difficult for me working less neat and switching off my head. But I tried it and... this is the result. Stamped with StazOn Jet Black, then painted and stamped with Adirondack dabbers (lemonade, butterscotch and terra cotta) and with gesso.

Taking Flight (1) & Lots to Do

Vorige maand het schitterende boek Taking Flight (Inspiration & Techniques to give your Creative Spirit Wings) van Kelly Rae Roberts aangeschaft. Wat een heerlijk boek om bij weg te dromen en om actief mee bezig te zijn! Ik heb besloten om mijn eigen taking flight boekje (13 x 16 cm) te maken met citaten uit het boek, allerlei nieuwe technieken en ............ Gestart met het maken van een voorkaft uit grijsbord. Voor de achtergrond van de buiten- en binnenkant heb ik een collage techniek uit het boek gebruikt en daarna mijn fantasie op losgelaten.
Last month I bought Kelly Rae Roberts's marvellous book Taking Flight (Inspiration & Techniques to give your Creative Spirit Wings). It's a fantastic book to daydream and to be creative. I have decided to make my own taking flight booklet (13 x 16 cm) with quotes from the book, new techniques and.... Made a front cover, using the collage technique from the book with a lot of fantasy.

Saturday's Workout: Playing with UTEE

Voor de Saturday's Workout uitdaging met thema 'Playing with UTEE' heb ik deze kaart gemaakt. De achtergrond is met gesso gestempeld, het plaatje met StazOn Jet Black en ingekleurd met Distressinkt (scattered straw en broken china). Het plaatje en de letters zijn dik geëmbossed. Bij de letters nog wat goudkleurig poeder tijdens het smelten in het embossingpoeder gegooid.
Made this card for the Saturday's Workout challenge with theme 'Playing with UTEE'. Stamped the background with gesso, the image with StazOn Jet Black and coloured with Distressink (scattered straw and broken china). The image and the letters are thick embossed. Added a little gold colour powder to the letters while melting the embossingpowder.
